English Speaker's Teaching English Positions in Korea [TaLK, EPIK]

Dr. Chah 2018. 10. 3. 09:30

Are you a native English Speaker and wanting to get a teaching English position in Korea? iM Education wants you to find a choice of your life in this world from the following information. Korea is a nation of opportunity for English-speaking people in teaching English. I recommend you to visit the EPIK and TaLK sites.

The person serving in the TaLK program is receiving 1,500,000 Korean Won (in exchange rates as of October 2018, about US$1,340/ CAD$1,720) a month plus accommodation (400,000 Korean Won/ US$360/ CAD$460 a month) and teaching 15 hours a week.

The person after participating 1 year in the TaLK will be eligible for submitting an application for EPIK with a bachelor's degree. If she/he would like to go on the EPIK program, then she/he will receive monthly 1,800,000 Korean Won (about US$1,610/ CAD$2060) plus free furnished housing (monthly 400,000 Korean Won/ US$360/ CAD$460). In the case, she/he shall work weekly 40 hours including weekly 22 hours on teaching English duty for 52 weeks a contract year. There are about 10,000 native English teachers in Korea's elementary and secondary schools.

After EPIK program participation, many native English teachers think of college/university instructor positions. There are many chances for English-speaking people according to their nationalities. You can check the 7 countries on the EPIK and TaLK sites.

iM Education can help you if you want to teach English and live in Korea. You can get a teaching English position in elementary/secondary educational level or university level if you have a master's degree as well as a bachelor's degree from one of the 7 countries.
